Permaculture is a global movement that has been around since the 70’s. This day workshop unpicks what permaculture is, how it works and what kinds of projects exist globally. How does permculture enable us to overcome some deep seated ecological problems? What are the ethics and principles that make something a permaculture project and how do they get used to design them? All questions answered and guaranteed to inspire, this is the foundation for PART 2- designing skills.

PART 2- PERMACULTURE DESIGNING SKILLS
SAT 3rd MARCH 2018 10:30 am- 4:30 pm

During this workshop we will learn how to use permaculture principles to DESIGN projects that are ecological, enhance nature, function efficiently, buzz with biodiversity and are beautiful. This is a practical workshop, building on PART 1. There will be many opportunities for discussions, activities and to bring in your own projects/ ideas to work on.
I operate a fair-shares payment system, course fees are less, the more people book on. To secure you place (there are max 10 places) please paypal me your payment of £60.

ORGANIC FOOD GROWING FOR BEGINNERS
MON 26th MARCH 6:30-9:30 pm

This is a conceptual workshop about what, when and how to grow food from seed, how to keep you soil healthy so your plants will be healthy. There will be an optional follow up practical seed sowing demonstration at Falcon Wood Farm, Fairlight- details at workshop.

PERMACULTURE FOR ALLOTMENTS
SAT 21ST APRIL 2-5 pm
£25 (£20)
Short workshop exploring the essential permaculture check-list on an allotment. Its about taking what you are already doing and trying to save work on your plot by inventing systems that do the work for you and or using slightly different methods and approaches to growing food.

How to fill your garden with foods to pick throughout the year-
low maintenance and edible, this workshop teaches what to grow with what, in the right space for you. Suitable for small or large gardens, big pieces of land or a window box. This workshop includes what, where and when to plant the things you would like to eat.

Please note all sessions are designed to actively engage the group by discussion, practical activities, real examples and a variety of learning techniques. Don’t expect to just sit on a chair all day and take notes— that is not how permaculture gets taught!
